Clevedon 10K, which I ran last Tuesday evening. A lovely evening for a run, ...not sure 7.30PM is the best time for a race, though... It was quite hard work! It was the Avon County Championship, so the field was pretty strong too. |

A bit hot and humid on the day, but a good race with some long straight sections. Fairly fast, but possibly not a PB course as first 6k is rolling but predominately uphill, which does mean that if you have anything left at 6k it is a good fastish (for some) run in. Bit surprised no other Corsham runners there for what is a fairly big event. |

Really good event, very well supported throughout with a great atmosphere - helped hugely by the start finish being on the Plymouth Hoe and the sun shining. Infrastructure very much that a big event with an athletes village providing free post race massage and a smorgasbord of post race food including Ginsters pasties (this could only happen in the South West!). Course was quite demanding, lumpy with one big climb and the finish is quite cruel in that you think you're there but you're not! One I'd do again, particularly as it fits in well with the start of school half term and holidays in the South West. |

A very hot day for sure, 29°C, which must have taken it's toll of all but the top runners this afternoon. There were over 100 entries for the main race, and many very weary bodies crossing the finish line today. The route this year had been slightly modified to include more road running. |

Pierre ran in the Tewkesbury half marathon at the week end. He reports that he was very pleased with his race, as he ran a PB, breaking the 1hr30 mark in the process for the first time (!): 1hr 28’ 50’’. John also ran it, in 1hr 33’ 12” Conditions were good and the course is excellent (flat and quite interesting). John also ran it, in 1hr 33’12” Well done the pair of you! |

| It was a picturesque course through the villages of North Dorset as the name suggests. Pretty much flat (though Karen and Emma may disagree) with just a couple of small hills to provide a challenge and a finish down a cycle path so you end up with tiny stones in your shoes to run on. It was only the 2nd running but I would recommend it to other CRC runners looking for a smaller marathon with a PB possibility. |
