To all Corsham Running Club members Member vote on proposed new club logo It is important to have a club logo that looks good in every way that we might use it. Whether that is on our club vests, entry forms for events that we organise, banners or flags flying at events, or on the new finish gantry that we are buying. Out of the deliberations about the gantry came deliberations about the club logo. And the result is that we are proposing to change from the rectangular image of two runners, to what we think is a more attractive logo which reflects that we are from Corsham. We have taken professional advice on this, and we believe that the new logo will be much more effective than the old one, especially on banners and club kit. Generally more eye catching and clear, and looking more fresh and up to date. For those of you that are financially minded, the design and production has cost £75. Attached, and also on our website, are images of the new logo in a number of circumstances. On vests, on banner flags (which we intend to buy very soon to fly at our events) and on entry forms. And alongside it, an image of the current logo which we have used on our vests and on entry forms. As you can see the new logo uses the club colours, clearly states the club name, and uses a peacock to represent Corsham. We all really like it on the committee and hope that you do too. The proposal is that we adopt the new logo immediately. For use on everything that the club has. For vests, we would not start to use the new logo until stocks of the current supply have run down further of course, so as not to waste money unnecessarily. Please have a look at the images, and then email Simon Scott simoninmess@hotmail.co.uk to vote for one of three options: Option 1 – adopt the new logo, as recommended by your committee Option 2 – keep the old logo Option 3 – don’t mind one way or the other The voting deadline is 5pm on Friday 23 July. It would be brilliant if everyone would vote please so we can be sure that the result is supported by the majority of club members as well as the majority of those who actually voted. Only paid up club members are eligible to vote of course – one vote each. Dominic O’Connor Chair Corsham Running Club |
